A Series of Events for High‑Quality Development of Jiangsu’s Private Economy Held in Changzhou Genpharm Delivered a Presentation

     On March 25, 2025, the special session on synthetic biology industry services under the event series themed “Strengthening Industrial Chains, Expanding Industry Clusters, Consolidating Foundations and Pursuing Innovation” for high‑quality development of Jiangsu’s private economy was held in Xinbei District, Changzhou. Centering on the synthetic biology industry, this special session provided services covering industry analysis, enterprise‑oriented policy briefings, industrial support, as well as investment promotion and talent recruitment.

     On that day, Genpharm, a key enterprise in Changzhou’s synthetic biology sector, took part in the event by invitation. During the forum, Ms. Wang Yuqin, President and General Manager of the company, delivered remarks as a representative of synthetic‑biology enterprises and put forward proposals. She noted at the meeting that many pharmaceutical intermediates can deliver higher yields while improving safety and environmental performance via bio‑fermentation and other biological approaches. To further refine the industrial chain and boost the sector’s overall competitiveness, she suggested that relevant authorities optimize industrial policies and appropriately ease restrictions on the development of pharmaceutical‑intermediate projects.

     This event offers a valuable opportunity for private‑sector enterprises and entrepreneurs in Changzhou. Going forward, Genpharm will keep strengthening its scientific and technological innovation capacity, act as a model leader in synthetic biology, and make greater contributions to the high‑quality development of the province’s private‑sector economy.
